 Q:    I am 5'5'' and 192 lbs. How many calories would I have to eat daily to obtain a weight goal of 130 lbs by May 30th ? I am moderately active.

 A:    Join the site or try the free weight loss profile. However, no matter how much you weigh, you need to burn 3,500 calories more than you consume for each pound lost. Thus, to lose 62 pounds, you will need to burn 217,000 excess calories. That is a daunting task to achieve by May 30th. Given the fact that there are 85 days left, that is a net burn of 2,500 calories per day. That means that if you eat say, 1,200 calories per day, you will have to burn 3,700 total. You will burn roughly 1,600 per day by doing nothing (your basal metabolic rate). The other 2,100 you will have to burn via exercise. For example, running at a 10 minute mile pace for an hour will burn about 900 calories. Since running for almost 2 1/2 hours per day is unrealistic, we would advise you to extend your timeframe. You could lose 60 pounds in 30 weeks (by the end of September) by targeting a 1,000 calorie net burn per day.  A:    No, only one person can use each account because the system personalizes itself for you. You and your husband have different basal metabolic rates, eat different foods and exercise differently. Each person must buy their own. Also, just so you are aware, it's $5.99 per month if you pay for a whole year in advance. If you want to go month by month, it's $7.99 per month.  Q:    I do exercise every day. I run about 2-3 miles a day now, I used to read 6. I have looked at fatburn.coms Q & A page and did not find my answer. But I am going to try fatburn and see how I do. I think my metabolisim is permanently messed up. I used to be anorexic, see and still some bodily functions that were messed up are not functioning properly, so why should my metabolisim, ya know? :) What are your opinions on calorie cycling? Thank you.

 A:    Amy, it may take a few months of eating right and exercising to get your metabolsim functioning normally again. For a very long time your body was doing it's best to survive while you were sick. To change that may take some time. Eventually, if you give your body a consistant message, it will begin to function normally again. Stick to eating a regular and healthy diet of your favorite foods while making sure you are burning 500 more calories than you eat and things will turn themselves around. Exercise is going to be crucial. You will have to eat at least 1200 calories a day and be in a 500 calorie a day deficit. To achieve this you will have to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. Once again, consistancy is going to be the key to your success. If you fluctuate around by burning 500 more than you eat one day and the next you eat more than you burn, your body will just stay where it is to protect itself.  
 
 Q:    how much does water polo practice, 100 pushups and sit ups, and a medium weight lifting session cancel out eating cereal, nutri grain bars, 1 can of pop, fruits, (3) and a dinner of stir frie chicken with garlic noodles in an average day?
