I NORMALLY RUN ABOUT 4 MILES PER DAY IN ABOUT 33 MINS 5 DAYS A WEEK.IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS OF LOSING MY LOVE HANDLES?ALSO WHATS THE QUICKEST WAY OF GETTING YOUR CHEST AND ARMS DEFINED? |

Getting rid of your love handles and defining your chest and arms all come down to the same process, losing body fat. The only way to lose body fat is to be in a calorie deficit. If you burn 3500 more calories than you eat, that equals losing one pound of body fat. If you eat 500 fewer calories than you burn a day you will lose one pound of body fat a week. If you eat 1000 fewer calories than you burn a day you will lose two pounds of body fat a week. This is how you determine how fast the process of losing love handles or seeing more muscle will go. The body fat comes off all over the body at the same time. This means, there is no such thing as spot training an area. In order to see the results you are hoping for, you just have to keep at it until the body fat covering the area you want to see is gone. |

I'm taking a "fat burner" to try to speed up my weight loss. How do I track how many more calories I burned or does it even make a difference? |

First, we don't recommend that you take "fat burners". They are unregulated and can be very dangerous to your health! In fact, just this week, a professional baseball player who evidently was utilizing the stimulant ephedera died. Plus, the extra calories you burn during the day from the stimulant are just temporary. You can't take the supplement the rest of your life, so when you stop taking it your body will slow again and you will probably gain the weight back. There is no way to quantify how many extra calories your supplement is burning each day so stick with what your natural metabolism burns--and exercise to burn more. |
