Subject: Simple Veggie Soup
Brown 1.25 lbs ground turkey (low fat, drain the grease)
Combine browned turkey in stock pot with
5 cups canned tomato puree
5 cups water
1 bag frozen veggie soup mix
2 bay leaves
*spice to taste*
Bring to a slight boil, and simmer for about 20-30 minutes.
* Spices for me usually include about 1/8 cup powdered garlic, 1 tbsp pepper seeds, and 2 tbsp cracked pepper.
This makes about 5 2-cup servings, at about 360 calories each.
