Subject: Recommended Percentages (U.S. F.D.A.)
Is there any material I can read on this?
So far I have been close to the recommended Percentages but I would like to know more on what being within the recommended percentages's does etc. Thanks

Yes. This site has a link to the U.S. Daily Allowances site located under the Health & Nutrition tab. (After clicking on Health & Nutrition, click on the "links" link underneath the tabs.)
I've heard that they are generating a new set that are due, I think, some time this year.

Maybe I'm off base here, but while I keep an eye on my percentages and try to stay close to the recommended levels, I'm not seating over it or working real hard at balancing them. It seems that as long as I eat a variety of foods that I like, I stay close and I'm on track with my goal without feeling that I'm depriving myself of what I like. I think it is important to stay in a range so that the total calorie intake is balanced....but I think its more important to concentrate on your goal because when you get that little message at the end of the day that its working, nothing feels better.
