hello. I am new to fatburn.com. I need all the motivation I can get to lose 15 lbs. Current weight is 145, which I gained in the past 18mos after hysterectomy and anti-depressants. my husband thinks I look nice with the extra lbs., but I don't feel good about myself at 145 lbs. I did manage to lose 5 lbs in the past 2 months but did not exercise. Now I am afraid I will tip the scales back to 150 and I am only 5ft 2in!

Just keep working at it, if you are happy, your husband will be happy. Eat right, exercise, and those extra pounds will fall off. I've lost about 12 pounds in a month now - of course I have MUCH more to loose.

Best of luck to you!

Hi Firegal:

Exercise is real important if you are trying to drop those pounds! Walking is great as it doesn't require lots of equipment, etc. Try to pick something you like to do -- for me I enjoy walking and riding my bicycle. Depending on where you live, weather will determine what you can do outdoors. But if you study the activities list, you'll see there are lots of things that help burn calories -- housecleaning, for example. Look at raking leaves or gardening -- they burn calories! Perhaps you can find a few activities on the list that are easy for you to incorporate into your daily routine.

Hang in there and keep up the good work -- I've lost 18 pounds since March and think fatburn is terrific. You can do it, too!

I find that varying my workout each day makes a big difference. Some days I walk/run other days I do weights and other days I put on a work out video and do that.

I am also trying to get back into shape, or at least better shape. Hang in there and know there are a lot of us out here fighting the same battle. All I can say to myself is just do it, make some other thing in life wait while you do your exercise. It always makes me feel better, stronger and more able to devote myself to my responsibilities. So its not being selfish. A healthier me is better for everyone, not just me. Good luck!

That was meant to be Hey Firegal, not hey sue.

But good luck to you too, sue!
