Q & A with fatburn.com's Experts

Q:    Hi, Im wondering if you have any ideas of ways i can motivate myself while im at the gym, or to help me not eat certain foods when im at home. I have will power but it seems like it is going away. Are there anythings that you could help me do so that i dont loose my willpower, and increase my motiviation at the gym? thank you
Asked By Tania
 A:    Tania,

Burn out in the gym is quite common. Don't feel as though this is a problem. We recommend that you find alternative exercises that allow you to burn more calories than you eat everyday. Summer is a perfect time for you to get outside and try bike riding, swimming, rollerblading or walking/running in a park as alternatives to being in the gym. If you have to stay in the gym, try mixing up what you do. If you like to run on the treadmill, instead of just putting it on 6 mph and plotting along, try some interval training. This is where you change your speeds on specific times. You can jog for 1 minute at 4 mph and then run 1 minute at 7.5 mph. Keep repeating this over and over until you can't. This sort of training will keep you focused on what you're doing, not on how boring it is to run in place. You can interval train on almost any of the cardiovascular equipment in your gym. As far as your will power is concerned we love to pass along a comment made by one of our success stories. "Nothing I ever eat makes feel as good as I feel when I put on my size 2 jeans." She started at a size 10. To solve your willpower issue we recommend that you sign up for fatburn.com and learn how to eat balanced meals of your favorite foods while burning at least 500 more calories than you eat everyday. Your willpower will increase as you begin to learn, and then know, what the food you eat does to you. We ask this simple question of all our clients; how many gallons does it take to fill your car with gas? They always know the answer. Then we ask the next question; how many calories can you eat today and not gain weight? Most have no idea. When you use fatburn.com you will know the answer to the second question every day and that is a gift that you will carry for the rest of your life. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

Q:    Hi, my question is I was wondering how i can get rid of the amount of access bodyfat on my stomach. It is very out of proportion to the rest of my body. It seems as if i have someone elses stomach, it is pretty big and it looks very awkward on me. Also my thighs are big and seem out of proportion to the rest of myself as well. I do not consume alot of calories, and i eat healthy, and do 1 hour cardio exercises everyday. Is there anything else i can do to help it go away? Thank you

 A:    Rian,

The way the body functions is always going to be the same. If you burn more calories than you eat the weight around your stomach, thighs and all over your body will come off. There is no way around this fact. The only thing that could be holding your body back from losing weight is that you are inconsistent with eating a balanced and regular diet of fewer calories than you burn. More than anything else, the body wants consistency. That means that you eat regularly (not skipping meals) and have regular workouts. By eating regular we mean that you are eating at least three balanced means a day. A balanced meal is one that consists of at least 20% protein, no more than 50% carbohydrates and no more than 30% fat. By regular exercise we mean that you are exercising almost everyday and burning enough calories so you are burning a minimum of 500 calories more than you eat. Through centuries of feast and famine our body has developed a natural defense. This defense is one of slowing down your basil metabolic rate (the minimum amount of calories your body burns for just being alive) if your body thinks it's starving. This is a our survival instinct. If you are inconsistent with your diet and exercise your body can think that it's starving on the days you burn more calories than you eat and its reaction will be to slow down your BMR. Making the situation worse, on the days that you eat more calories than you burn your body will store all the calories you eat because it's waiting for the next time you starve. We always tell our clients to use fatburn.com so you KNOW you are eating a balanced diet and are burning a minimum of 500 calories a day (more than you eat) every day of the week. Also, we recommend that you pick a window of time in which you will be perfect in your weight loss quest. During this window of time NEVER miss a day of burning a minimum of 500 calories more than you eat! This will cause your body to settle into a pattern of using your body fat as its energy source. Take a moment to go to fatburn.com and look at our before and after pictures under the "See Results" tab. All of those people, many just like you, did exactly what we recommend and lost the weight they wanted and in many cases more. The best thing about fatbburn.com is that you will learn how to eat the foods you like in a formula that will allow you to lose weight and keep it off. The weight will stay off because you will forever have a calculator in you head telling you how much you can eat and how much exercise you need to do to stay at you ideal weight. If you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask.

Q:    Hi, first of all I would really like to say your advice is amazing! It's so great that people like you actually try to make a difference in peoples lives. My question is, I have been working out pretty hard for 3 1/2 months so far. When I go to the gym It says I burn 1000 calories each time. Although to me, it seems as I have done nothing, I dont see results, besides my legs becoming more muscular. I eat a healthy diet, and drink plenty of water, do you have any suggestions or comments to help me? thank you.
Asked By Mercedez
A:    Mercedez, Thanks for the nice words. The site was developed with the intent to give people the facts about how the body works. We hope it helps. Our comments about your weight loss situation are as simple as our site is to use. To burn around a thousand calories in a workout would take (for most women) about two hours. What you think your calorie burn is may be a little high. The average woman burns about 400 - 500 calories per hour aerobically. The next thing is that you are only using half the weight loss formula. You can exercise until you're blue in the face but if you're eating more calories than you're burning you will never see the results. You say that you're eating healthy but that doesn't mean you're going to lose weight if you're eating too much healthy food. It's kind of like this; you could eat 2000 calories of broccoli but if you only burned 1800 calories that day you would still store those extra 200 calories as body fat. To lose 1 pound of body fat you need to burn 3500 more calories than you eat. We recommend that you burn at least 500 calories more than you eat a day. Over a week that adds up to 3500 calories burned and one pound of weight loss. Use fatburn.com to track the calories you eat, the calories you burn and find out every day whether or not you lost weight. Look at all our before and after pictures. These men and women had the same issue you do but got what they wanted by following our simple yet very effective system. Lastly, any form of exercise will build some muscle. Obviously, heavy weight training will build bigger and quicker than riding a bike but when the muscle is challenged it will respond by building itself. If you're exercising and not losing weight the increase in muscle size will just push the layer of fat out and increase the size of your leg. You combat with what we said earlier. Once again, the only way you will lose body fat is when you are in a calorie deficit. Burn at least 500 more calories than you eat every day and the size of your thighs will decrease. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

Q:    I have a question regarding "walking uphill". If I walk on the treadmill at an incline of 5.0 or an incline of 12, both are entered as "walking uphill". Why don't you list the calorie expenditure for different inclines?
Asked By Karen
A:    We found the met rate factors for all the incline levels on the treadmill. We will add them to the activities list ASAP. Thanks for the question and for helping us make the system as complete as possible.

Q:    How long would it take to lose 85 lbs? How do I keep it off after I go off the plan? How long does a person have to stay on this plan? Is this like weight watchers? Also, how much is this going to cost totally?
Asked By Anonymous
A:    Thanks for the questions. You can safely lose 85 pounds in about 9 months. That would be an average of 2 pounds a week. You will achieve this goal on fatburn.com by using the system daily. We offer you a food database of over 17,000 foods (and growing). By clicking our "Meals" tab and then entering all the food you eat during the day you will accurately find out how many calories you are eating. Then you click our "Activities" tab and find out exactly how many calories you are burning. The key to our system is the "Summary" tab. By clicking this tab you will see your net caloric burn for the day. The first law of thermodynamics (physics) tells us everything you need to know about how to lose the 85 pounds. The law states: Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it has to be transferred. The energy you're trying to transfer is body fat. It takes 3500 calories burned (transferred) to lose one pound of stored energy or body fat. In your case, you will have to burn (transfer) a minimum of 1000 calories a day more than you eat to achieve your goal of losing two pounds a week. The formula is simple; 1000 calories burned (more than you eat) a day equals 7000 calories burned for the week which results in two pounds of weight loss. Check out our "See Results" tab and look at the before and after pictures. All those successful people lost the weight by using our formula. You will then keep the weight off by simply making sure that your energy in (food) and energy out (calories burned) balance out to zero. You will have to stay on the system for the amount of time it takes to lose the weight. We offer you a variety of pricing plans to choose from; a month to month rate of $7.99, a three month rate of $20.97 ($6.99 a month) and a yearly rate of $71.88 ($5.99 a month). All the plans can be canceled at the end of their term. Our system is superior to Weight Watcher’s in that you are learning how to work your favorite foods into a system that tells you exactly how many calories you need to burn off to lose weight. You make your own choices and when you do that, you are ten times more likely to stick to those choices. All this leads you down the path to the two most important lessons in weight loss and general health, portion control and the amount of exercise you need to be successful. When you're finished you will have this calculator inside your head that knows exactly how your body is functioning and why. You will no longer have to ask the questions: Why or how did I gain or lose weight? You will know. We are now offering a money back guarantee. If you use fatburn.com everyday for two months, burn a minimum of 500 more calories than you eat daily and don't lose eight pounds we will give you your money back. That’s how confident we are that this system is solid. Please give fatburn.com a try. You will be amazed with your results.
